"And so this is Christmas and what have we done?
Another year over, and a new one's just begun."

Major changes this year all around, I hope everyone lands on their feet, I think we all will. For some reason, I always feel hopeful on Christmas eve. The shopping and wrapping, and decorating are as done as they're going to be, nothing else is going to get cleaned or baked. The gifts for the baby are under the tree. Life is good on Christmas eve.

"And so Happy Christmas, and a happy New Year
Let's make it a good one, without any fear"

I had a Beatle moment today. :) Those happen so rarely these days that it felt very special. My parents sent me a birthday e-card through some website that was a recording of the Beatles singing Happy Birthday. It was a very pleasant surprise because I was unaware that the Beatles ever recorded Happy Birthday. Still love learning new things. (Clearly theirs was the best version ever recorded.)

Best Music of 2009 - ( I'm a GREAT DJ ! ) [Dec. 22nd, 2009|08:55 pm]

Here is part two of my BAG-O-GIFTS to my LJ friends!

The other day, I was dangling a large hip-bone over King DOG's head.  Behind me was a giant box of artificial Christmas Tree limbs.  He jumped up, with his big paws on my chest, and I fell endlessly down, collapsing like Origami into the box.  There I lay, stunned.  And it looked like the woman in this video...

YOUTUBE: Norah Jones and Jimmy Kimmel Sing "The 12 Days of Christmas"

Well, I suppose I must assemble that tree tonight.  Not because I want it up in my living-bed-room.  But because I want to leave it out for the grabage men, hoping the grabby neighbours will take it instead, and I will help make one poor child artificially happy this year.  Oh, look!..........

The 12 Pains of Christmas!

Speaking of YOUTUBE, I will be compiling a list of the best VIDEOS of 2009 and WHATNOT...  you can watch as I develop it over the course of the next 24 hours or whatever by GOING HERE ...  But in the MEAN TIME, what I've REALLY been working on for you is this!...

...... The agony of not being able to do anything.... [Dec. 20th, 2009|10:24 pm]

I haven't wrote much on LJ lately, been too busy with the two jobs, skijoring, fostering a GSDxHusky and everything else I guess... But I had to write something about an horible event that occured today.

I was out playing with Titus and Whisky (foster dog) in the park not too far from my place, its a very common place where a lot of dog owner comes and go with their dogs, its fenced, and is mostly a unofficial dog park. I'd say all the dogs are friendly and owner responcible... -wrong-

There was this goergous German shepard dog who started to run and play around with my two boys, he was okay for most of the time, but it got out of hand pretty quickly, when I saw that, I called Titus (yes, I'm lucky enough to have a husky who listens to recalls) and they both trotted back to me... followed by the german shepard who decided it was fun to bite...

he bit Titus.... Now, working for an emergency vet clinic and as a first respondant technitian in a pet ambulance service, I know how to deal with wounds... so I knew he needed to be brought at the Emergency ASAP.

DX : puncture on abdominal wall.

Let me tell you, if theres one thing you never want to see, is your own dog guts...

After 45 minutes of surgery, he's now in recovery, I'm lucky enough that I might even be able to bring him home tonight when he's totally awake (mostly because I know how to monitor him, and have the essential at home, but honestly I wouldn't have wanted if the guts or bladder were touched)

I just had to rant/vent/share... I guess..

Take Back Your Life Are You Tired of feeling "Sick and Tired"? If you answered yes to that question you may be searching for answers about debilitating conditions known as Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Immune Dysfunction Syndrome, or Unrelenting Fatigue. The compilation ebook linked to above delves into all of these in detail, and is completely free to download via the above link. Winter and holidays can be especially difficult for those with Fibro or CFS, but fortunately there are viable solutions.

The Ascent of Woman [Dec. 14th, 2009|10:46 pm]

madman101
Almost all countries with high birthrates also employ a high degree of abuse against women. This can take the form of perpetual rape, (some African, Indian), or forced birth control, (some Islamic, Chinese). (Actual physical violence against women may be a wash as far as birth-promotion vs. "birth-control" goes). Correlated with the former, and notwithstanding the latter, is one method of birthrate reduction associated with the abuse of women: the neglect and poverty of children. Nevertheless, childhood starvation and illness does not reduce the birthrate sufficiently to allow the country to reach a balance where food becomes available to all. It, instead, INCREASES the birthrate, in all but the MOST SEVERE circumstances.

Just pay attention to the first sentence in the previous paragraph. The solution to badly accelerating overpopulation, therefore, is the achievement of more social POWER of women relative to men. And the way this is accomplished is THROUGH THE EDUCATION OF WOMEN. This is a widely known sociological fact.

Women become equal to men through the power they gain through education. Consequently, & subsequently, the birthrate declines, while the average lifespan rises. And so, the wealth of the country increases, as does the country's ability to further educate and to feed women and children. (This is also why GRAMERCY BANK micro-loans to impoverished women are so successful: Google).

That is what all conservatives fear.

If civilisation is insane, then the fall continues.

And so that is the story of:

Eve biting the apple.

Here I am again on livejournal, pains me to think of how long it's been since my last entry. I was terribly disappointed when I saw a comment I had missed from a friend asking me to add their new username because I missed the opportunity to add them- their new username has now also been deleted. I feel so out of it. So out of it that I feel like I can only express myself using song lyrics.

Tomorrow (or should I say, in only a few hours because I've been up all night thus far too nervous to sleep) Chris and I are going to visit my home for the first time since I got married. Brings to mind a perfect quote...

Driving down the road I get a feeling that I should have been home yesterday...

"When John passed away so suddenly that night, I felt as though half of me flew away with him."

-Yoko Ono

No Yoko bashing, please- this quote isn't about Yoko. It's about John, and how his life touched others so deeply.

It's so meaningful.

Love,
John Lennon

P.S- You smash it- I'll build around it.

From a letter John wrote in reply to a savage, patronizing review of
Revolution in the Black Dwarf magazine.

I just love that quote. It seems to say so much more than first meets the eye. That's who John was, that was his response to society. While others tore down, he would build up.

You smash it, I'll build around it.

I really miss the days when I had no other responsibilities but maintaining this Beatles community because I loved it so much. I'd spend all day thinking up new and interesting facts to post, dragging out new pictures, promoting the community, making sure it didn't die like so many other good Beatles communities I was a part of... growing up is much too hard.

Once again I missed another December 8 opportunity to post a memorial for John. I think I'll see if I can pull out the last memorial post I made, a couple of years ago. It was my favorite. It may be a few days late but it is never too late to remember John, even if it's only me reading it.

Still love you, beatlepeople.
